My website culminates in four images that reconstruct the city landscape through glitch effects, showcasing the detailed planning that goes into the molding of a city. Using photographs, I’ve taken during my personal travels; I curated a set of altered images that reimagine the traditional spaces the buildings and places occupy. As someone who always has had a passion for architecture, and as a self-described city-dweller, this online exhibition “The Glitch City” is a passion project for me. In executing it, I aim to delve further into how one goes about experiencing the chaotic and crowded places that are heralded as iconic. I also wanted to focus on the interplay between natural and urban elements, and how modernization blurred that boundary. As more land is being destroyed to pave the way for glass towers, I wonder if the two can intersect in harmony, rather than destruction.
